Field Guide | Luxury Safari Camp | Timbavati
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide for a luxury safari camp based in Timbavati. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable guide to deliver exceptional wildlife experiences while working within a high-end, intimate bush environment.
The ideal candidate will be confident, professional, and guest-focused, with a strong commitment to conservation and safety. This role requires an individual who is legally qualified to conduct walking safaris and is enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the African bush.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided game drives and walking safaris in a safe and engaging manner
- Provide guests with informative and memorable wildlife experiences
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with general lodge operations where required
- Maintain vehicles and guiding equipment to a high standard
- Deliver exceptional guest service in line with luxury hospitality standards
Requirements:
- Minimum FGASA NQF Level 2 qualification
- Must have Trails Guide qualification or VPDA (legal to conduct walking safaris)
- Valid First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s licence and PDP
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury safari environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and ecosystems
Package:
- Salary: R10,000 negotiable depending on experience
- Live-in position
- Start date: End of June / 1 July
