Sous Chef | Luxury Safari Lodge | North WestSalary: R13,000 | Live-in Position
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef for a luxury safari lodge based in the North West province. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to work alongside a dynamic kitchen team, delivering exceptional dining experiences in a unique safari setting.
The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with lodge standards
• Support menu planning and contribute creative ideas
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
• Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, health, and food safety standards
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen administration
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
• Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Head Chef
Requirements:
• Passion for culinary excellence and attention to detail
• Strong leadership and team support skills
• Good organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to work in a remote lodge environment
What is Offered:
• 7% company contribution to provident fund (effective from the fourth month)
• Medical aid subsidy of 50%, capped at R1,800 per month (effective from the fourth month)

• Three meals per day on a balanced, rotating staff menu
