Job Summary
A busy and well-established Dental Practice in Kempton Park is seeking a reliable, professional, and experienced Locum Dental Assistant to provide temporary support to their busy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable, and can confidently integrate into an established practice while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a private dental practice.
Relevant Dental Assisting qualification will be advantageous.
Active HPCSA registration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and a caring attitude towards patients.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer literacy and experience with dental practice management software will be advantageous.
Available to work on a locum basis as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
Chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms before and after appointments.
Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments according to infection control protocols.
Assisting with stock control and ensuring the surgery is fully equipped.
Maintaining accurate patient records where required.
Delivering excellent patient care while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 07h00 – 18h00 & Every 2nd Saturday: 07h00 – 13h00
Remuneration: Locum fees per hour/week
