Job Summary
Golden Yolk is a large, established layer poultry farm. The company currently has Junior Farm Manager roles available in the following areas: Patterson, Paarl and Bloemfontein. (Kindly only apply for one of the positions, whichever best suits your preference.)
This position is ideal for a dynamic person who wants to grow his/her career. The ideal candidate is a neat and proactive individual with excellent leadership, planning and communication skills (Afrikaans and English).
Responsibilities include:
Assist in the management of layer poultry farming and all relevant farming activities
Assist in the management of poultry houses
Personnel management
Ensure that bio-security measures are adhered to
Assist with production planning
Assist with stock management and purchases
Administration of checklists and farming operations
Assist with maintenance and inventory management of equipment, vehicles and tools
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) will be beneficial
Previous exposure to the agriculture industry will strengthen the application
Exposure in a layer poultry production environment will be beneficial
Organisational and planning skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Interpersonal skills
Professional administrative and computer skills
