This is an exceptional opportunity to join the opening team of a landmark five-star luxury resort on the East African coast – a property that will redefine the island hospitality experience for discerning international travellers. Operating under a globally recognised luxury hotel brand, the resort is currently under construction and the incoming Front Office Manager will have the rare privilege of shaping the guest journey, service culture and front-of-house standards from the very beginning. Reporting to the General Manager, the Front Office Manager will lead all front-of-house operations – reception, concierge, guest relations and arrival and departure services – ensuring a seamless, highly personalised luxury experience at every touchpoint. The role carries accountability for VIP and repeat guest management, service recovery, room inventory control and interdepartmental coordination with Housekeeping, Reservations, Food & Beverage and Revenue Management. Beyond the guest experience, the Front Office Manager will actively drive rooms revenue through effective upselling and sound revenue management practices, lead and develop the front office team, and ensure compliance with brand quality standards and financial controls. ???????????? · Senior front office or rooms division management experience in a luxury hotel or resort – island or remote destination experience is a strong advantage. · A demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction targets and rooms revenue budgets. · Experience with pre-opening or hotel opening projects will be highly regarded. · Comprehensive knowledge of luxury hotel brand standards, SOPs and quality audit requirements. · Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and front office financial procedures including billing accuracy, night audit and cash controls. · Proven expertise in VIP handling, personalised guest recognition and guest preference management. · Strong team leadership skills with experience coaching and developing a multicultural front-of-house team. · Comfortable working in a live-in, remote island environment and willing to commit to a rotational or fixed-term contract arrangement. · Solid interdepartmental coordination skills, particularly with Housekeeping, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage and Reservations. · A track record in rooms revenue optimisation, upselling programmes and ADR/RevPAR improvement. · Relevant hospitality qualification preferred; contactable references essential. ?????? – $2500 - $3000 USD net with live in benefits ????? – Nov / Dec 2026 ? ?????? ???? – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
