New Business Manager (BU Lead)
Role Purpose
Why This Role Exists
This role exists to embed strong commercial execution directly into each Business Unit at Ello Technology.
As a New Business Manager (BU Lead), you are responsible for ensuring that all technical work is translated into accurate, profitable, and fully captured revenue. You lead the commercial function within your BU — owning quoting, procurement, invoicing, and revenue integrity — while enabling the BU to operate as a complete, decentralised unit.
This is not a traditional “sales manager” role. It is a commercial leadership role for someone who understands both revenue and operations. Your success will be measured by margin protection, revenue accuracy, and the elimination of leakage across the entire commercial process.
Your First 90 Days
What Success Looks Like
By Day 90:
You are fully running the quoting, procurement, and invoicing cycle for your Business Unit
You are consistently delivering ≥99% accuracy across quotes and invoices
You have eliminated revenue leakage, missing line items, and billing inconsistencies
You are maintaining strong commercial discipline across stock, licensing, and billing
You are reducing billing queries and improving cashflow consistency
Your Business Unit is operating with clean, structured, and reliable commercial processes
This role suits someone who takes ownership of revenue, accuracy, and execution from day one.
Targets and Performance Measures
How Performance Is Measured
This role has clear financial, operational, and compliance performance expectations set at Business Unit level.
You will be measured on your ability to convert technical scope into profitable revenue, maintain high levels of accuracy, and ensure clean commercial execution across all processes.

Once-off project GP invoiced and assessment-to-project conversion value
Margin protection and pricing discipline
Quote and invoice accuracy (target ≥99%)
Reduction in billing queries and improved resolution times
Stock allocation accuracy and zero shrinkage
Zoho Books accuracy and system hygiene (target ≥99%)
SOP compliance and audit readiness (target ≥95–98%)
This is a performance-driven role where accuracy, discipline, and commercial ownership are critical.
