Job Summary
A large International Hotel Group requires a seasoned Hospitality Sales professional. The role entails extensive experience across all Hotel Sales Sectors with a primary focus on MICE. Role Overview: Strategically lead and support regional sales teams for an International Hotel Group. This role focuses on high-level Key Account management and the MICE sector, driving growth across Corporate, Leisure, and Government markets within South Africa and internationally. Strategic Leadership & Sales Planning: Sales Strategy: Research and execute a comprehensive Group Sales Plan, including leisure market strategies and budget management. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor trends, rates, and top accounts to maintain a competitive edge. Reporting: Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance updates to the Sales Director and Head of Sales. Account Management & Business Development: Portfolio Growth: Identify and penetrate new corporate and leisure accounts while maintaining a "qualified" weekly call plan. Relationship Management: Manage a tiered database (A, B, and C clients) through face-to-face meetings with key influencers and decision-makers. Lead Generation: Collaborate with internal departments (Front Desk, Banqueting, Revenue) to capture and cross-sell group-wide opportunities. Account Penetration: Develop detailed profiles for key bookers and implement "chase systems" for consistent follow-up. MICE & Event Sales: Exhibition Leadership: Coordinate and represent the group at major trade workshops and exhibitions. Site Inspections: Plan and host FAM trips and site inspections for potential MICE and leisure buyers. Contracting: Negotiate and conclude high-value contracts for conferences, banquets, and events. Administration & Standards: CRM & Systems: Oversee all account correspondence, ensuring CRM data and company rates are accurate and up to date. Compliance: Adhere to Group SOPs regarding research, record-keeping, and administrative duties. Team Synergy: Liaise with GMs, Revenue, and F&B teams to ensure service delivery aligns with sales promises. Minimum requirements: Experience: 5–7 years in Hospitality/Travel sales. Education: Sales Diploma or equivalent qualification. Skills: Strong negotiation, contract conclusion, and public presentation abilities. Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
