Candidate Attorney - Trade and Customs
Our client, a boutique Law firm based in Sandton, is looking for a diligent and commercially minded Legal candidate to join their Trade, Customs and Excise team. Excellent opportunity to develop your career within a well-established Technology and Commercial law firm with a strong presence in International Trade and Customs Law.
Main Responsibilities
Pivotal role to provide expert legal advice to high-profile clients on International Trade, Customs and Excise matters.
Provide specialist advice on Tariff classification and Customs or Excise valuation.
Conduct compliance reviews for clients involved in imports and exports.
Keep abreast of relevant international trade legislation/trends, and their impact on different industries.
Research and draft Import and Export Agreements and other Contracts.
Resolve disputes related to Customs and Excise issues with SARS (Customs).
Work closely with experienced legal professionals in Trade, Customs and Excise. Enhance your skills and expertise in this area.
Other key duties will be discussed at the interview stage.
Qualifications and Experience
LLB degree. Masters an advantage.
Candidate Attorney who has completed articles.
3 - 5 years' experience.
Exposure to Trade and Customs Law is beneficial.
