Junior Attorney - Trade and Customs
Our client is looking for a bright and detail-orientated Legal candidate to join their Trade, Customs and Excise team. Excellent opportunity to gain strong practical experience, within a boutique Technology and Commercial law firm based in Sandton,
Main Duties
Pivotal role to provide expert legal advice to high-profile clients on International Trade, Customs and Excise matters.
Research and draft Import and Export Agreements, SLAs, NDAs, etc
Be involved in litigation and dispute resolution services in respect of Customs and Excise disputes with SARS (Customs).
Provide specialist tariff classification and customs or excise valuation advice.
Conduct compliance reviews for clients involved in imports and exports.
Work closely with experienced legal professionals in Trade, Customs and exercise, and develop your skills.
Keep abreast of export and import legislation / trends and their impact on different industries.
Other key duties to be discussed at interview stage
Qualifications and Experience:
LLB degree / Masters.
Candidate Attorney. Completed articles.
2 to 4 years exp.
Exposure to Trade and Customs, an advantage.
