Key Responsibilities

As the a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the mining sector.
  
• Expanding the customer database by sourcing and engaging prospective clients.
  
• Responding to customer enquiries and following up on sales opportunities.
  
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting on sales activities and performance.
  
• Conducting market research to identify business development opportunities.
  
• Achieving agreed sales targets and budgets.
  
• Managing sales forecasts while ensuring budget, margin and sales objectives are met.
  
• Promoting a range of specialised mining technology and automation products, including:
  
• Leaky Feeder Systems
  
• Electrical Panels, Smart Gate End Boxes and Electrical Systems
  
• Environmental Monitoring Solutions
  
• Communication Systems
  
• Conveyor Belt Rip Detection Systems
  

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  

• A valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver's licence.
  

• Previous sales experience (essential).
  

• Experience within the mining industry and an established industry network (advantageous).
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  

• CRM system experience (advantageous).
  

• Willingness to travel as required.
  

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  

• Excellent time management and punctuality.
  

• A self-motivated, ambitious and results-driven attitude.
