DISPATCH COORDINATOR

Location: Rustenburg, North West

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: R25,000 – R35,000 per month (experience‑dependent)

Introduction

Our client in Rustenburg is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Dispatch Coordinator to manage and coordinate the full dispatch, preparation and loading of materials for delivery. The ideal candidate must have strong practical experience in dispatch operations, material identification, pallet preparation, and truck loading.

This role requires someone who is organised, accurate, safety‑conscious and able to work under pressure while ensuring all materials are correctly identified, marked, recorded and loaded before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Loading Coordination

• Dispatch Oversight — Coordinate and oversee the complete dispatch and loading process

• Material Identification — Identify and verify contract‑specific materials for each delivery

• Marking & Allocation — Ensure all materials are correctly marked and allocated to the correct project

• Truck Loading Planning — Plan loading according to space, weight and delivery sequence

• Load Completion — Ensure all required items are loaded before the truck departs

• Dispatch Documentation — Conduct final checks against dispatch lists, delivery notes and packing lists

Packing & Preparation

• Pallet Preparation — Assist with packing and preparing materials onto pallets

• Load Securing — Ensure materials are packed, secured and protected against damage

• Loading Supervision — Assist with and supervise physical loading of materials

Coordination & Communication

• Internal Liaison — Liaise with workshop, stores, production, contracts and transport teams

• Material Accuracy — Ensure correct materials are dispatched to the correct site

• Discrepancy Reporting — Identify shortages or incorrect materials and report to management

Record Keeping

• Dispatch Records — Maintain accurate dispatch and loading records

• Delivery Documentation — Ensure signed delivery documents are returned and filed

• Load Evidence — Take photographs or maintain records of loaded materials

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Safety Compliance — Comply with all Health & Safety, quality and dispatch procedures

• Safe Loading — Ensure trucks are loaded safely and efficiently

• General Duties — Perform other dispatch‑related duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a Dispatch Coordinator / Dispatch Controller / Logistics / Stores / Loading

• Proven practical experience loading materials onto trucks

• Experience identifying materials against contracts, packing lists or delivery documentation

• Experience planning and coordinating truck loads

• Experience packing materials onto pallets

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organisational and planning skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Good communication skills

• Computer literate

• Ability to work effectively with workshop, stores, production and transport teams

• Afrikaans & English proficiency advantageous
