Public Relations (PR) Specialist Rosebank Sandton Johannesburg
Our client is looking for a PR Specialist with 5-8 years plus experience coming from the healthcare medical industry. Strong in PR and communication. You will manage the public, customers and investors image of the company brand. You are responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to enhance the reputation and visibility of the organization. This role involves media relations, content creation, event management, and crisis communication.

Min Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations role within the medical / healthcare industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of media relations and social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Media Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to secure media coverage.
- Content Creation – Develop compelling content for press releases, articles, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Event Management – Plan and coordinate PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, and media briefings.
- Manage event logistics and ensure successful execution.
- Social Media Engagement
- Crisis Communication
- Brand Management – Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communication materials.
- Monitor public perception and report on the effectiveness of PR strategies.
- Internal Communications – Support internal communication efforts to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Create and distribute internal newsletters and announcements.
