Location: Livingstone, Zambia Contract: 9-month seasonal position About the Role We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Food & Beverage / Front of House team member to join a small, family-run eco lodge for the upcoming season. Set on a beautiful horse ranch along the Upper Zambezi River, this is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote, nature-rich environment. This role suits someone energetic, organised, and passionate about food, people, and travel—someone who thrives in a fast-paced lodge setting and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. What We Offer 9-month seasonal contract On-site accommodation in a stunning natural setting Lunch and light breakfast provided daily Dinner provided when hosting guests One day off per week (can be accumulated and taken during quieter periods) Return flight at the end of the season Initial inbound flight reimbursed after successful completion of a 3-month probation period (subject to mutual agreement) Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage front-of-house food & beverage operations Maintain a well-organised kitchen, pantry, and stock room Manage stock control, place orders, and handle purchasing Work closely with chefs, assisting in the kitchen when required Implement and manage set menus (with occasional creativity and input) Support the Lodge Manager with day-to-day operational duties Host and engage with guests in the evenings Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and service Who We’re Looking For Independent; self-motivated, and highly organised Strong work ethic with attention to detail Enjoys being part of a close-knit team Passionate about food, hospitality, and guest experience Comfortable working in a remote environment Computer literate with an excellent command of English Flexible and willing to assist across departments Relevant qualifications required (please include in application for work permit purposes) Additional Notes Candidates will be required to travel to Livingstone at their own expense for an initial assessment period. Should both parties agree to continue after 3 months, this cost will be reimbursed.
