Job Summary
Job Purpose:
To support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects by assisting the Project Manager in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to required quality standards
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma or B Degree in Electrical Engineering (Compulsory)
- Project Management Qualification (Minimum NQF Level 6)
- Project Management accreditation.(SACPCMP and/or PMP)
Experience:
- 3-5 years project engineering or management in industrial project
- 3 + years of project experience and plant maintenance or installations work in Construction or Electrical/Engineering Industry
- 2 years’ experience in Design, Electrical & Project Engineering
Requirements
Knowledge Required- Project management knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package
- Project management tools (CAD and MS Projects)
- Contracts Management (FIDIC, GCC, NEC, JBCC)
Competencies Required
- Communication at multiple levels
- Resource management
- Problem solving
- Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (other preferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need)
- Work effectively in diverse team environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, required.
- Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
- Ability to work regularly and dependably.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers
