This role requires a hands-on Industrial Engineer responsible for taking engineering designs from concept/final design through to fully manufacturable, scalable production processes, while improving efficiency, reducing waste and achieving measurable cost savings.
What You'll Do:
Industrialise new products by converting engineering designs into scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes.
Transition engineering designs and data into production and support the engineering release process.
Review and approve product sub-systems for manufacturability and build feasibility.
Develop detailed production line process models, including how and where sub-assemblies are installed.
Be hands-on on the factory floor, investigating and resolving production and technical issues.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Perform time and motion studies and establish standard work methods.
Optimise production lines, workflows and factory layouts to improve efficiency and minimise waste.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Work closely with Production, Engineering and Management to align projects with business objectives.
Maintain detailed process documentation and prepare reports on production performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's / BTech in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3–5+ years' post-graduate experience in Industrial/Process Engineering; automotive experience preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production-line dynamics.
Experience with time studies, production-line optimisation and component manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving and data-analysis capability.
Experience working collaboratively across Engineering and Production.
Advanced Syspro knowledge, specifically master data, customer fields, scripts, optimisation and customised reporting across manufacturing/supply chain.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Proficiency in CAD, MS Office/advanced Excel and Crystal Reports.
Experience with production scheduling tools.
This role would suit a hands-on, factory-floor Industrial Engineer who combines technical engineering capability with strong problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills. Someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment, while maintaining high attention to detail, and strong cross collaboration communication with positive energy.
