Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager for a luxury game lodge in Limpopo. The successful candidate will oversee all lodge maintenance, infrastructure and preventative maintenance programmes, while supporting renovation and development projects. This is a practical role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, luxury lodge experience and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all lodge, staff accommodation and infrastructure maintenance Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes Conduct inspections and respond to repairs and breakdowns Manage electrical, plumbing, mechanical, water, generator and general building systems Coordinate contractors, suppliers and renovation projects Manage maintenance budgets, stock, tools and equipment Lead and support the maintenance team Maintain health, safety and operational standards Assist with lodge operations, guest hosting and guiding where required Requirements Previous maintenance management experience within a luxury lodge or hospitality environment Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general maintenance Experience with generators, pumps, water systems and remote infrastructure Proven project, renovation and contractor management experience Strong troubleshooting, organisational and leadership skills Valid driver’s licence Comfortable living and working in a remote environment Advantageous FGASA or Big Five guiding qualifications Guest hosting experience Experience with lodge upgrades or development projects The ideal candidate will be proactive, practical and solution-driven, with a passion for the bush and maintaining exceptional lodge standards.
