We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled SQL Query Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and optimizing SQL queries to support our automations and business intelligence teams. This role is crucial for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in the Business Intelligence departments delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
- Collaborate with data analysts and other team members to understand requirements and deliver.
- Maintain and update existing SQL queries and scripts to improve performance and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL queries.
- Document query logic and maintain comprehensive records of query changes and updates.
- Ensure data integrity and security by following best practices and company policies.
- Identify new process improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Project management skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree advantageous.
- Proven experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other database management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
