WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a global organisation to find a driven and highly organised Shipping and Compliance Coordinator to join its service team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional with a strong academic background who wants to build expertise in international shipping, import/export compliance and global distribution. You’ll coordinate high-value international shipments from start to finish, work directly with clients and suppliers across the globe, and develop specialist knowledge of regional import and export requirements.

About the Role

The Shipping and Compliance Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring international shipment orders move successfully from go-live through to final delivery.

You’ll take end-to-end ownership of shipments, balancing the requirements of clients and suppliers while coordinating documentation, movement and clearance. You’ll also work closely with an international network of partners and develop in-depth knowledge of the import and export compliance requirements for a specific global region.

This role requires someone who can stay organised while managing multiple moving parts, communicate confidently with international stakeholders and identify potential problems before they become critical shipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international shipments from start to finish.

• Manage the documentation, movement and clearance requirements associated with shipment orders.

• Liaise with an international portfolio of clients importing networking equipment.

• Communicate directly with suppliers and clearly translate shipment requirements back to clients.

• Work with a global network of partners and maintain effective working relationships.

• Balance client and supplier requirements to keep shipments moving efficiently.

• Develop specialist knowledge of regional import and export compliance requirements.

• Take ownership of day-to-day decisions affecting the health and progress of shipment orders.

• Proactively identify potential pressure points or shipment risks before they escalate.

• Escalate relevant issues to senior team members when necessary.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

• Identify new or out-of-process requirements and flag these for review.

• Contribute to maintaining accurate internal process and compliance knowledge.

What You’ll Bring

• University undergraduate degree in any discipline, with a Commerce-focused degree or LLB preferred.

• Strong academic track record.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Excellent organisational and coordination skills.

• Ability to manage multiple elements of high-value shipments simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively.

• Ability to anticipate problems and act proactively.

• Creative problem-solving skills.

• An independent, resourceful approach to work.

• Good general business acumen.

• Energy, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

• Exposure to logistics, shipping, supply chain, imports, exports or compliance.
