The Senior Director: Cloud Advisory & Strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving cloud transformation strategies for enterprise clients across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on cloud adoption roadmaps, migration strategies, enterprise architecture alignment, and cloud governance frameworks. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, helping organisations modernise their IT landscapes and unlock business value through cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cloud advisory engagements across enterprise clients, from strategy through to execution oversight
  
• Develop and implement cloud adoption frameworks, migration strategies, and transformation roadmaps
  
• Advise clients on cloud architecture best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  
• Define cloud governance models, operating models, and control frameworks (security, compliance, risk, and cost governance)
  
• Engage with executive stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CFO) to align cloud strategies with business objectives
  
• Drive cloud readiness assessments, workload prioritisation, and migration planning
  
• Oversee FinOps strategies including cost optimisation, chargeback/showback models, and cloud financial management
  
• Provide thought leadership on emerging cloud technologies, hybrid/multi-cloud strategies, and modern application architectures
  
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure successful execution of cloud transformation programmes
  
• Lead and mentor senior consultants and cloud architects within the advisory practice
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 12–18+ years of experience in IT consulting, with significant exposure to cloud strategy and architecture
  
• Strong experience across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  
• Proven track record in cloud advisory, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation programmes
  
• Deep understanding of cloud migration methodologies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain)
  
• Experience designing cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, and operating models
  
• Strong background in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent)
  
• Experience with cloud security, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments
  
• Strong knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimisation strategies
  
• Demonstrated experience working with C-level stakeholders in large enterprise or consulting environments
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
