About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and hands-on IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, stability, security and continuous improvement of the organisation’s IT environment.

This role requires someone who can balance IT management and strategic planning with hands-on technical delivery. You should be comfortable managing vendors, budgets and projects while remaining technically capable of troubleshooting infrastructure issues when required./

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Operations

• Oversee the daily operation of networks, servers, systems and IT infrastructure.
  
• Ensure the reliability, availability and performance of IT systems.
  
• Manage hardware and software maintenance, upgrades and backups.
  
• Maintain an accurate IT asset register.
  
• Provide hands-on technical support and assist with complex IT issues and escalations.
  
• Identify root causes of technical problems and implement sustainable solutions to minimise downtime.
  

Network, Server, Cloud & Security

• Manage and support network and server infrastructure.
  
• Ensure appropriate IT security controls, policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
  
• Ensure compliance with organisational and group IT policies and standards.
  
• Support cloud environments and related infrastructure.
  
• Maintain appropriate backup and disaster recovery processes.
  
• Support data-centre environments and appropriate data governance practices.
  

IT Projects & Technology Improvement

• Lead IT system implementations, upgrades and migrations.
  
• Assess current technology requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions that can improve efficiency, reliability or reduce costs.
  
• Manage IT projects from planning through to implementation.
  
• Ensure technology solutions remain aligned with operational and business requirements.
  

Budget, Vendors & Service Delivery

• Manage the IT budget and associated technology expenditure.
  
• Manage technology suppliers, service providers and other external partners.
  
• Develop and manage appropriate service-level agreements.
  
• Monitor vendor performance and escalate service-delivery issues where necessary.
  
• Work closely with internal departments to understand technology requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  

Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an IT Manager or comparable IT management role.
  
• Strong hands-on experience in network administration, servers, infrastructure and security.
  
• Experience working with cloud technologies and enterprise IT environments.
  
• Strong hardware and software knowledge.
  
• Experience managing IT vendors and service providers.
  
• Experience with IT budgets and technology procurement.
  
• Experience leading IT implementations, upgrades and/or migration projects.
  
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
  
• Exposure to data-centre management and data governance.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability.
