Human Resources Manager (Mandarin Speaking)

Position Summary
An international organisation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to independently manage the full Human Resources function for its South African operations.
This role is responsible for ensuring HR compliance, managing employee relations, supporting business operations, and providing HR guidance to both local and international management.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of South African labour legislation, be confident managing HR operations independently, and have proven experience across the full HR function.
Previous experience working for a Chinese-owned or Chinese multinational company is preferred. Experience within the solar, renewable energy, battery storage, energy, manufacturing, automotive, technology or a similar industry is also preferred, particularly within an international or multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding and employee induction.
Prepare and manage employment contracts, probation reviews, confirmations and employee exits.
Ensure compliance with all applicable South African labour legislation, company HR policies and procedures.
Manage employee relations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, misconduct investigations and performance-related matters.
Represent or assist the company in CCMA and other labour-related proceedings when required.
Oversee employee leave, attendance, personnel records and general HR administration.
Coordinate payroll-related HR information, employee benefits and remuneration changes.
Provide HR advice and guidance to local and international management on employment matters and HR risks.
Develop, implement and continuously improve HR policies, procedures and best practices.
Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, BCEA, LRA and all relevant labour legislation.
Support organisational development, employee engagement and performance management initiatives.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR reporting.
Support management with day-to-day HR matters and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in HR Generalist roles – NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Proven experience across the full HR function, with the ability to independently manage HR operations.
Strong practical knowledge of South African labour legislation.
Proven experience managing employee relations, disciplinary processes and grievances.
Experience dealing with CCMA or other labour-related matters.
Must be a South African Citizen with a valid South African ID or hold valid South African Permanent Residency.
Must be able to communicate confidently with local and international stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in HR Generalist roles.

Employment contracts and employee lifecycle management
Leave and attendance
HR policies and procedures
Labour legislation compliance
CCMA matters
Experience in an HR Manager role is preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of:
Labour Relations Act (LRA)
Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
Employment Equity Act (EEA)
Other relevant South African employment legislation
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage HR responsibilities with minimal supervision.
