The SA Metal Group has an opportunity has a vacancy for a highly driven and experienced HR & Training Administrator to join the Human Capital team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support to management and employees and the HR department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
HR administration: Capture and update HR systems, manage employee files and maintain accurate, complete and confidential documentation.
Employee onboarding and exits: Order PPE for new employees and complete termination checklists, ensuring all supporting documentation is finalised.
Recruitment and sourcing: Coordinate recruitment processes, prepare targeted vacancy advertisements and administer the internal staff referral programme and other sourcing initiatives.
Candidate screening: Review applications, shortlist suitable candidates and conduct telephone screening and interviews to assess experience and suitability.
Interview coordination: Schedule interviews and provide guidance, feedback and administrative support to line managers.
Pre-employment assessments: Conduct employment and background checks; coordinate medical examinations and psychometric testing where applicable; prepare and administer appropriate skills assessments.
Recruitment reporting: Maintain recruitment trackers and prepare accurate recruitment and related reports.
Training administration: Capture and update training records, schedule training and assessments, and upload all supporting documentation to the training drive.
Training compliance: Track certificates and expiry dates, follow up on renewals and outstanding records, and support audits and compliance requirements.
Departmental support: Perform other ad hoc duties relevant to the HR department.
Qualifying Criteria
Grade 12 certificate
Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Human Resource Development
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a HR & Training administrator role
Experience recruiting within a production/engineering/manufacturing environment is essential
Computer literacy -- proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint
Valid driver's license and own transport
Qualifying Attributes
Well-spoken with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with managing training records
Service oriented by being helpful to employees and line management asking about training
Handles employee development information with confidentiality and professionalism
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE Act -- basic labour law
Excellent Professional and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and manage demanding workload in a pressurised environment
