Job Summary
Our client, a market leader in the Material Handling space, is seeking to employ a Branch Manager to join their team in Benrose, Johannesburg.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in branch, operations, or service management within the forklift, material handling, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery sector.
- Proven track record in managing P&L, team leadership, and business development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential).
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Oversee daily branch operations including sales, rentals, service, and parts.
- Drive branch profitability through effective cost management, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement local sales and marketing strategies to grow market share.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and manage key accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team; conduct performance reviews and staff development plans.
- Manage inventory and asset utilization for rental fleets and parts.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and branch performance reports.
