Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a fully qualified and passionate Trails Guide for a luxury safari camp based in the heart of the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team in a premier safari destination.
Minimum Requirements:
NQF4 Field Guide qualification (non-negotiable)
Full Trails Guide qualification (non-negotiable)
Valid First Aid Certification
Valid PdP (Public Driving Permit)
Registered with NDT (National Department of Tourism)
At least 5 years' experience in the safari or lodge industry
Physically fit and comfortable working in the bush environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of bush, wildlife, and safety protocols
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct game drives and guided bush walks to a high professional standard
Ensure safety of guests during all safari activities
Host and interact with guests, delivering a memorable and educational experience
Assist in general lodge operations and maintenance when not guiding
Support in bush clearing and infrastructure upkeep as needed
Uphold high standards of presentation, environmental awareness, and guest service
The successful candidate will be proactive, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about conservation and guest engagement. This position is available for an immediate start.
