Live-In Position Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a polished and service-driven Restaurant Manager for a luxury lodge in the Hoedspruit area. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering refined, high-touch dining experiences across multiple restaurant venues within a five-star safari environment. The successful candidate will oversee all dining operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, smooth service flow, and memorable guest experiences from arrival to departure. Requirements: ✔ Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment ✔ Proven experience managing à la carte service for up to 165 guests ✔ Strong experience overseeing multiple dining venues simultaneously ✔ Excellent leadership, staff training, and team management abilities ✔ Strong understanding of international service standards and guest expectations ✔ High attention to detail with calm, composed decision-making under pressure ✔ Strong administrative, organisational, and coordination skills ✔ Experience with restaurant management systems advantageous ✔ Valid driver’s licence essential ✔ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations of all restaurant and dining venues • Lead, train, and motivate service staff to deliver five-star standards • Act as primary guest contact ensuring exceptional dining experiences • Manage guest feedback, requests, and complaints professionally • Coordinate reservations, seating plans, and service flow • Work closely with kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery • Oversee bar, beverage, and wine service standards and training • Manage staffing rosters, floor plans, and operational logistics • Maintain inventory control and ensure compliance with hygiene standards • Ensure dining areas are maintained to luxury presentation standards • Implement cultural awareness and service excellence training Candidate Profile: • Strong, guest-focused leader with a refined service style • Calm, organised, and highly professional under pressure • Passionate about luxury hospitality and team development • Detail-oriented with strong operational discipline • Confident communicator and natural floor manager Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
