Kendrick Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Hotel Manager for a beautiful luxury hotel based in the heart of Franschhoek. This is a fantastic opportunity for a polished, hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys working in a high-end environment, has a natural eye for detail, and is confident supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a luxury property. The ideal candidate will have strong guest relations skills, good operational experience, and the ability to work closely with senior management while supporting the team across departments. Key Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day running of the hotel and ensure consistently high service standards Support the Hotel Manager / General Manager with daily operations, planning and reporting Oversee guest arrivals, departures, special requests and overall guest satisfaction Maintain excellent communication between front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, reservations and maintenance teams Assist with staff supervision, training, motivation and service standards Handle guest feedback and resolve operational challenges professionally Ensure all areas of the property are presented beautifully and maintained to luxury standards Assist with stock controls, admin, rostering and general operational procedures Support events, VIP guests and special arrangements where required Act as Manager on Duty when needed Requirements Previous experience in an Assistant Hotel Manager, Duty Manager, Front Office Manager or similar role Luxury hotel, boutique hotel or high-end lodge experience preferred Strong guest relations and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and a calm, professional manner Hands-on and willing to assist wherever needed Good leadership and team management ability Strong admin and organisational skills Able to work well under pressure in a guest-focused environment Valid driver’s licence and own transport preferred A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences The salary on offer is up to R 35 000, depending on experience, including benefits.
