Our client, a prestigious luxury hunting and safari game lodge located in the Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee full operational functions. This role requires a strong hospitality leader with a passion for guest experience, conservation, and sustainable tourism within a high-end wilderness environment. Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of lodge operations, ensuring seamless delivery across guest services, accommodation, dining, activities, and housekeeping. You will lead, train, and manage a diverse team, ensuring consistently high service standards aligned with a luxury safari experience. Key duties include financial oversight (budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation), coordination with the farm and wildlife teams to ensure ethical and safe hunting practices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and local stakeholders. You will also oversee health and safety compliance, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all departments. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service excellence. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: Proven lodge or luxury hospitality management experience, ideally within a safari or outdoor tourism setting. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for conservation and sustainable tourism practices. Experience in staff management, financial oversight, and guest relations is required. Familiarity with wildlife operations and reservation systems is advantageous. A hospitality or business qualification is preferred First aid or wilderness safety certification. Exceptional English is required; a second language is beneficial.
