| Position description / overview: | The Compliance Officer ensures mining operations meet all legal, regulatory, and licensing requirements. Acting as custodian of the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) and related statutory documentation, the role involves conducting internal audits, overseeing document control systems, and monitoring mining sites for compliance. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for controlling external audits with the DMPR and other regulatory bodies. While environmental expertise is supported by external consultants, the Compliance Officer plays a key role in safeguarding operational integrity, regulatory adherence, and community development commitments (through the Social and Labour Plan implementation). |
