Intermediate Software Developer - Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth

Role Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to join our client's development team and contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer with solid commercial experience who is comfortable working across both back end and front-end technologies. The successful candidate will work independently on assigned development tasks, contribute to existing codebases, and collaborate with other developers to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions. This position does not require team leadership or ownership of system architecture but does require strong technical execution and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities – Software Development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#.
• Write, optimise, and maintain Microsoft SQL queries and database structures.
• Contribute to front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React, or Quasar.
• Implement assigned features, components, and modules within existing systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and defects.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure development work meets quality, performance, and security standards.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation where required.

Academic Requirements
Relevant Degree or Honours Degree, or equivalent practical experience.

Work Experience Requirements
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a software development role at an intermediate level.
Proven experience working in a production development environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Technical Skills and Abilities
Strong proficiency in C#.
Solid experience with Microsoft SQL.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and at least one modern framework such as Angular, Vue, React, or Quasar.
Additional technical competencies will be assessed during the interview process.

Level of Responsibility
Works independently on allocated development tasks.
Responsible for delivering clean, functional, and well-tested code.
Collaborates with senior developers as required but does not carry architectural or team leadership responsibility.
