Based in Cape Town, this role focuses on expanding trade partnerships, reactivating dormant accounts, and growing long-term value from the Southern Africa travel market . This is an opportunity to join a highly influential organisation known for its conservation impact, premium camps and lodges, and ground handling expertise across East Africa. Position Overview Reporting to the Head of Agent Relationships, the successful candidate will shape regional market presence ; grow strategic accounts, and represent a strong, purpose-led travel brand in trade markets across Southern Africa. Key Responsibilities New Business Development • Identify and qualify high-potential travel trade partners in Southern Africa • Lead engagement, pitch processes, and conversion efforts with new agents • Promote integrated safari planning and destination management services • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and roadshows to drive pipeline growth Account Management & Sales Growth • Build meaningful relationships with existing agents and expand sales potential • Deliver product trainings, commercial updates, and tailored support • Develop sales strategies to encourage higher trip volume and deeper brand reliance • Co-create marketing tools and content for trade enablement Market Intelligence & Commercial Reporting • Monitor competitor strategies, market shifts, and client expectations • Provide feedback and insights to shape global positioning and messaging • Deliver performance reports on acquisition, reactivation, and sales impact Cross-Department Contribution • Provide input for product innovation based on client needs • Collaborate with finance, operations, and marketing teams to strengthen service delivery Qualifications & Skills Required • Minimum 5 years experience in the African travel or safari industry • Proven track record in B2B trade sales, destination management or luxury travel environments • Strong business development skills and relationship-focused selling approach • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling abilities • Exposure to CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and commercial data analysis • Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and digital platforms • Familiarity with BI systems such as Power BI advantageous • Passion for conservation-driven travel, collaboration, and service integrity Required Personal Attributes • Professional and consistent brand ambassador • Driven by excellence, service, and meaningful industry relationships • Self-starter, disciplined, positive, and collaborative Package • Market related salary, negotiable based on experience • Live-out position • Based in Cape Town To Apply Please submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head-and-shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
