This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company within Cape Town’s premium short-term rental market. As the Accountant, you will take ownership of the full accounting function across multiple high-end properties, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Working closely with both management and operations teams, you’ll provide clear financial reporting and insights that support informed decision-making. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team committed to excellence. Key Responsibilities · Full accounting function including reconciliations, journals, and general ledger management · Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports · Oversight of accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management · Processing and tracking property income, expenses, and commissions · Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, VAT submissions, and statutory requirements · Liaising with management, suppliers, and property owners to resolve financial queries · Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation Requirements · Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance · Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, property management, or short-term rentals · Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software (essential) · Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cloud-based reporting tools · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines · Professional, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively ???????? ???? - Asap ???????????? – on application.
