About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Remote Systems Engineer to help elevate the quality, speed, and capacity of our growing US based client. This role blends independent project execution with collaborative support during peak U.S. morning hours. You'll have the flexibility to work autonomously for most of your day, followed by a few key hours aligned with our U.S. team to handle high-priority issues and shared work.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled, self-motivated, and experienced in delivering technical projects within an MSP. You should be comfortable taking ownership of email & sharepoint migrations, configurations, and scripting tasks that directly improve the performance of our clients' environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical projects, including:
  
• Microsoft 365 email and SharePoint migrations
  
• Firewall configuration, firmware updates, and rule auditing
  
• Security and permission restructuring
  
• Write and deploy scripts (PowerShell preferred) to streamline client and internal processes
  
• Update firewalls and other device firmwares
  
• Provide advanced troubleshooting across a range of technologies (Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, security)
  
• Document solutions, SOPs, and system changes with clear and client-friendly language
  
• Support urgent or high-priority requests during U.S. morning overlap (roughly last 2 hours of your shift)
  
• Identify areas for system improvement and present actionable recommendations
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience at an MSP (this is essential)
  
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:
  
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance)
  
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
  
• Firewall administration (Fortinet, SonicWall, or similar)
  
• Datto RMM (or proven RMM experience and ability to transition to Datto quickly)
  
• Scripting and automation (especially PowerShell)
  
• Solid understanding of remote access, security best practices, and systems management
  
• Strong English communication and documentation skills
  
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office setup
