BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – CAPE TOWN
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Business Development Manager to join an established logistics and supply chain business with a strong South African presence and international backing.
This is an opportunity for a proven new-business hunter who can identify growth opportunities, develop strategic client relationships and secure new business across logistics, warehousing and integrated supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth.
Identify, develop and convert new commercial opportunities.
Build relationships with senior decision-makers and strategic clients.
Develop tailored logistics and supply chain solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
Lead commercial proposals, tenders, pricing and contract negotiations.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver against agreed targets.
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and grow market share.
Requirements
7–10 years’ relevant experience in business development or sales within logistics, supply chain or a related industry.
A demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
Established relationships within the logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding or supply chain sectors.
Experience in complex solution selling, tender management and commercial negotiations.
Strong commercial acumen, presentation skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
A self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.
Experience in contract logistics, warehousing, intermodal or container depot services will be advantageous.
