Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tour Plan Rate & System Specialist to join a luxury travel agency. This role can be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg and offers flexible working arrangements including remote, hybrid or in-office options. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in Tour Plan and a strong attention to detail.
Position Overview
The Tour Plan Rate & System Specialist will manage supplier contracts, maintain accurate data within the Tour Plan system, and provide system support to internal teams. This role requires precision, strong organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to ensure accurate product availability and rates.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Communication & Contracts
Liaise with suppliers to confirm contract terms, policies, and special offers.
Maintain organised records of all contracts, agreements, and updates.
Data Management in Tour Plan
Capture and update supplier rates, terms, product notes, and live availability links accurately.
Perform quality control checks to ensure all rates and policies are correct in Tour Plan.
System Support & Collaboration
Work closely with reservations, finance, and Tour Plan support teams to resolve system queries.
Communicate contract changes and updates to the wider travel team.
Test system upgrades and participate in ad hoc Tour Plan projects.
Product & Availability Management
Oversee the setup of product codes and reporting parameters.
Collaborate with suppliers and channel partners to manage and map live availability integrations.
Training & Team Engagement
Attend supplier product training sessions.
Participate actively in internal company and team meetings.
Train consultants on best practices and efficient use of the system.
Required Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in a Tour Plan Rate & System Specialist role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and departments.
Problem-solving and system troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to train colleagues effectively.
Package
Salary: R45,000, negotiable dependent on experience.
Flexible working arrangements: remote, hybrid, or in-office (Cape Town or Johannesburg).
