General Manager – Boutique Hotel (Noor Cape, Cape Town) Location: Cape Town, South Africa Property: Noor Cape – 12-room Boutique Hotel Employment Type: Full-time Reporting to: Owner / Director About Noor Cape Noor Cape is an exclusive 12-room boutique hotel located in Cape Town, designed to offer refined hospitality with a focus on privacy, cultural authenticity, and personalized service. The property caters primarily to discerning Middle Eastern travelers, providing a warm, elegant, and halal-friendly environment that celebrates the fusion of African charm and Arabic-inspired hospitality. Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of Noor Cape Boutique Hotel. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional fluent in English and Arabic ; with strong experience in luxury or boutique hotel management and a deep understanding of the expectations and cultural nuances of Middle Eastern guests . The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the property’s daily operations, ensuring excellence in guest experience, staff performance, financial results, and brand standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B service, and guest relations. Recruit; train, and manage a team of 6 to 8 staff members ; fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork. Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction through personalized service and attention to cultural and religious sensitivities. Manage budgets, forecasts, and operational costs to maintain profitability and efficiency. Supervise maintenance, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the property. Develop partnerships with travel agents, tour operators, and local suppliers to strengthen the hotel’s market position. Work closely with the owner to implement the hotel’s vision, operational strategies, and promotional activities. Monitor and maintain compliance with local hospitality regulations, labour laws, and company policies. Requirements Proven experience as a General Manager ; Assistant General Manager ; or Operations Manager in a hotel or boutique property (minimum 5 years). Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken). Strong background in guest relations and Middle Eastern clientele management . Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Solid understanding of hotel financials, P&L management, and operational systems. High attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion. South African work authorization or eligibility to work in South Africa preferred. Remuneration A competitive salary package will be offered based on experience and qualifications.
