About the Position

Midvaal Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Beaconvale, Cape Town, for an experienced and Trade-Tested Turner with strong CNC turning experience.

This is an excellent short-term temporary opportunity for a technically competent Turner who can work independently and deliver accurate, high-quality machining within a production environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Tested Turner – essential

• Proven CNC turning experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or machining environment

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Strong understanding of machining processes, measurements and tolerances

• Ability to set up and operate CNC turning machinery

• Competent with measuring equipment and precision instruments

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines

• Good knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machinery

• Manufacture and machine components according to technical drawings and specifications

• Perform accurate measurements and quality inspections

• Ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances

• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments where required

• Conduct basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe work area

• Identify machining defects or issues and take corrective action

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

• Adhere to all company quality, safety and operational procedures

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified, Trade-Tested Turner with hands-on CNC turning experience, strong technical ability and a proven ability to produce accurate components to specification.

Important: This is a short-term temporary contract; therefore candidates must be available to commence work at short notice and be comfortable with temporary employment.
