Leading Travel Company based in Bryanston is seeking an experienced Sports Sales Executive (Corporate) to grow Sports Travel out of the corporate market by effectively, sourcing new clients, proposing and converting sales opportunities for the services. Focusing on outbound groups where applicable, to retain relationships and achieve set sales targets in the following corporate markets . Duties: Client Relationships: Ensure client expectations are met, and the highest delivery of service is driven through the business. Ensure that clients are offered the best available price and product. Continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clients. Call on new prospective clients consistently Build and retain relationships with new and current clients Establish and maintain good relationships with fixture providers and associated relationships. Always ensure effective communication with clients. Ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously. Follow-up with clients and leads Establish reason for decline on proposals Sales & Marketing: Identify content for the purpose of the monthly newsletter together with Team Sports i.e. product, company updates, promotional material, internal promotions etc. Distribution of the newsletters by ensuring that all databases are up to date. Support all CRM events within the business Identify and research exhibitions and trade shows which would best enhance the exposure of the business in Gauteng Feedback and follow-up from meetings if relevant. Sales Targets: Generate leads from existing and new clientele Ensure that divisional strategies are followed. Ensure that the required sales calls are made weekly. Ensure that the forecasting report are updated regularly. Follow-up with clients on a continual basis with regards to current and future business. Assist proposals and presentations to secure new business. Present Team Sports Travel brand in a professional manner at all times. Competitor Analysis: always ensure our pricing is market related and competitive. Quotations; Proposals & Presentations: Proposals and presentations Assist with research on hotels, flights, transport, fixtures and training facilities for Proposals as required Assist with the liaison with suppliers with regards to quotes and information required to complete proposals Assist with writing of and compilation of proposals Follow up with prospective clients when necessary – provide additional information as required. Manage reporting and maintain system for recording proposals for monthly updates and Quarterly review report Presentations: Research for presentations Compile presentations and presentation packs with the marketing coordinator and Business Development Manager Maintain presentations database with templates and examples Be available to assist at presentations as necessary Teamwork: Build and maintain good relationships within the team. Effectively communicate and implement best practice policies and procedures. Build relationships and support all business units within the company Pro-actively get involved. Assist with all aspects of sales duties of the company as required. Assist where necessary with international marketing including overseas sales trips or group travel Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required. Supplier Relationships: Commitment to and building relationships with preferred partners. Ensure that the best rates are always negotiated and secured. Understanding supplier products. Establishing best product. Personal development on destinations and products. Actively source new products and creative ideas Learning & Development: Continuously develop product knowledge, attend industry events/seminars/conferences, and participate in supplier workshops, educationals and trade shows. Keep abreast of industry trends Attend exhibitions, trade shows where necessary Management & Reporting: Add to, and maintain client database/mailing list in collaboration with Team Sports Travel Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, presentations to senior management forums e.g. Sales reports and marketing stats; Update and provide report on proposals submitted, awarded or rejected Update and provide report on leads Spokesperson: Attend functions, events on behalf of company as required Contact for company with regards to School and Club Travel sales in Gauteng Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Proven Sales track record dealing with corporates – preferably in the incentives or sports travel industry A mature approach when dealing with people Ability to handle controversial or emotional issues objectively and analytically Capacity for dealing with employers and workers at all levels Confidentiality; tact and discretion when dealing with people Excellent planning, Organisational, analytical and decision-making skills Good conflict resolution skills Good oral and written communication skills Integrity and Honesty Good command of written and spoken English Good interpersonal skills Project Management skills Good Problem-solving skills Excellent Organisational skills Negotiation and liaison ability Research; Organisational and presentation skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
