Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reservations Team Lead for a luxury property group based in Bryanston. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for delivering seamless guest experiences, and possesses strong leadership skills.
The successful candidate will lead a small reservations team, ensuring all guest interactions are managed efficiently across multiple channels while promoting revenue growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire reservations process via telephone, WhatsApp, email, online platforms, central reservation systems, referral networks, and social media
• Promote sales, cross-sell, and upsell products within the portfolio
• Manage reservation statuses and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Oversee OTA management and maintain compliance with company policies
• Train, support, and motivate team members to achieve high performance
• Manage cancellations, modifications, and refund requests efficiently
• Support the Reservations Manager with room availability, deposits, revenue and occupancy forecasts, and inventory management
• Prepare expected arrival reports and manage communication with lodge operations teams
• Ensure accurate and organised system records, correspondence, and files
• Maintain high attention to detail, fast email turnaround, and effective inbox management
• Foster professional, helpful interactions with colleagues, management, and industry partners
• Be flexible in supporting other operational areas when required
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a senior reservations consultant or Reservations Team Lead
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; PMS knowledge (Nebula, eRes, OperaCloud, Apex) advantageous
• Well-organised with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
• Dynamic, professional, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
• Valid RSA ID
