About the Role : We are recruiting for an industrial enterprise to source a highly resilient and experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic. This is a critical workshop leadership role focused on ensuring the optimal performance of the company's fleet and heavy machinery. Core Responsibilities:

• Workshop Oversight & Task Delegation: Manage the general daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are effectively assigned to mechanics and completed efficiently within strict required deadlines.
• Administration & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance job cards are accurately completed, processed, and submitted according to stipulated deadlines.
• Breakdown Management: Rapidly respond to and conduct daily breakdown repairs on a variety of light and heavy equipment to minimise operational downtime.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute and oversee highly structured, scheduled routine preventative maintenance and services across both light and heavy equipment fleets.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A valid Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or a formally recognised NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• A formally recognised, trade-specific qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-trade experience operating strictly as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Proven hands-on experience in maintaining forklifts, tractors, and trucks (experience working with MAN Trucks will be considered highly advantageous).
• A valid Code 14 driver’s licence is desirable, though not strictly essential.
