We’re looking for a skilled Electronic Support Technician with strong experience across both electronic systems and networking. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who has worked in the mining industry, doing installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of critical communication and electronic systems in demanding environments.
In this role, you will be supporting a comprehensive suite of technologies including underground communication systems, proximity detection, collision avoidance, tracking solutions, fibre optic networks, and two-way radio systems—all critical to safety and operations in mining environments.
This is not a desk-bound role. You’ll be actively working on-site, attending project meetings, and travelling across South Africa and beyond, ensuring systems are installed, commissioned, and operating at optimal performance.
What You'll Be Doing
To be considered, you'll need a minimum of N6 Electronic Engineering, your A+ and N+ certifications, and MTCNA or equivalent. Mine site and underground wiring experience (non-negotiable), and a valid Code 8 or 10 driver's licence. Knowledge of 2-way radio equipment or optic fibre will work in your favour.
This role suits someone who is self-driven, punctual, and takes ownership — someone who doesn't need to be managed to get the job done.
Preference will be given to EE candidates. Short-listed candidates will undergo a panel interview and Ravens psychometric assessment.
If you are an experienced Support Technician with a strong background in mining and electronic systems, submit your CV today to be considered for this opportunity.
