Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Relationship Management
- Utilizing a consultative, relationship-based approach to secure orders and build long-term loyalty within an assigned territory.
- Build and nurture robust, long-term business relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Employ a consultative, relationship-based approach to understand specific client needs and preferences.
- Act as the primary point of contact to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
2. Sales and business development- Drive consistent sales growth by identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Manage the full sales pipeline, from lead generation to conversion, ensuring all sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Implement effective sales strategies to penetrate the informal market and increase brand presence.
3. Reporting:- Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities.
4. Market Analysis- Serving as a vital feedback loop by reporting on competitive landscapes, customer pain points, and potential areas for service innovation.
- Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour.
- Keep up to date with new products, market conditions, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of relevant literature and consulting with the marketing department.
5. Continuous improvement- Maintaining a high level of expertise regarding industry shifts, advertising trends, and new product developments to ensure a sophisticated sales delivery.
6. Product promotion- Effectively promote our food products to potential and existing clients through product demonstrations and presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) required, , diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management, preferred
- A reliable vehicle and valid Driver’s License is required, and a willingness to travel within the assigned Representative Area.
- Proven experience of a minimum of 3 to 5 years in Sales roles, preferably within the FMCG or related industry.
- Experience in relationship-based selling and territory management.
