Job Summary
Qualification- Matric / Senior Certificate
- Relevant qualification
- Valid drivers license
- Previous external sales experience (steel industry experience an advantage)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-driven, target-orientated, and proactive ion approach
- Good planning, organisational and reporting skills
- Experience in a steel service centre or related manufacturing environment
- Existing customer relationships within the steel or fabrication industries
- Good technical understanding of steel products and services
- Results driven
- Professional, reliable and customer focused
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Servicing and managing an existing customer base
- Continually adding new customers and expanding business within the assigned area and broader regions, if required
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
- Proactively following up on current projects, quotations, and orders
- Expediting orders and providing regular progress feedback to customers
- Working closely with internal sales and production teams to ensure smooth operational flow
- Providing structured feedback via sales reports, including customer activity, opportunities, and market trends
