Job Summary
A well-established player in the mining technology space is looking for a hands-on Electronic or Systems Engineer to support their underground tracking and proximity detection solutions. This role is suited to someone who has worked with electromagnetic-based safety systems and understands the realities of operating in an underground mining environment.
You will be involved in engineering validation, on-site troubleshooting, system commissioning, and supporting the rollout of new installations. There is also an element of continuous improvement, where you will contribute towards enhancing and refining existing systems.
This is not a purely design-based role, but rather suited to someone who enjoys being in the field, solving technical challenges, and ensuring systems perform reliably under demanding conditions.

Education:
- Electronic Engineering qualification
- Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics will be considered
- Technikon / Diploma candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience working with Proximity Detection Systems or Collision Avoidance Systems
- Exposure to electromagnetic field-based or RF systems
- Underground mining experience (coal or hard rock) is essentialStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with system commissioning and on-site installations
- Ability to work both independently and within a technical team
- Background within mining technology or safety system providers will be advantageous
