Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and client-focused Financial Planner to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide tailored financial advice and solutions to clients, with a strong focus on promoting and selling Old Mutual financial products. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales ability with financial expertise to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new clients through networking, referrals, and lead generation activities
- Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses for clients
- Develop and present customized financial plans aligned with clients’ goals
- Recommend and sell appropriate Old Mutual products, including:
- Life insurance
- Investment plans
- Retirement annuities
- Savings and wealth management solutions
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Provide ongoing portfolio reviews and financial advice
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly and annual sales targets
- Number of new clients acquired
- Client retention rate
- Product penetration per client
- Compliance and quality assurance scores
Qualifications & Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Business, or related field (advantageous)
- RE5 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- FAIS compliance (or ability to become compliant)
- Previous experience in financial services, insurance, or sales (preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial planning principles
