Job Description

We are seeking an experienced JDE Tester to support quality assurance and testing activities within a dynamic technology environment. The successful candidate must have hands-on JD Edwards (JDE) testing experience, with strong exposure to financial transaction processes and a background within the insurance industry. The role involves test planning and execution, defect management, and close collaboration within Agile delivery teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with established QA standards and best practices

Job Duties

• Execute functional and regression testing across JD Edwards (JDE) solutions.
• Test financial processes including:
• Write-offs
• Auto disbursements
• Debit orders
• Create, maintain and execute test cases and test scripts.
• Identify, document, track and retest defects through to resolution.
• Maintain clear traceability between requirements, test cases and defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver testing activities within agreed sprints.
• Provide regular test progress updates and contribute to QA status and defect reporting.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product stakeholders and other QA professionals.
• Ensure testing deliverables comply with Santam's QA standards and frameworks.
• Support test automation where appropriate

Essential Requirements

• Proven JD Edwards/JDE testing experience – essential.
• Demonstrable software testing and quality assurance experience.
• Experience testing write-offs, auto disbursements and debit-order processes.
• Strong experience in test-case creation, test execution and defect management.
• Good understanding of functional and regression testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Test automation exposure.
• Selenium experience.
• Experience using test and defect-management tools such as Jira/Xray or comparable platforms.
• Previous financial services or insurance-sector testing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation certification preferred
