Job Summary
A leading Short?Term Insurance provider is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to assess, validate, and settle motor claims efficiently and accurately. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent service delivery, and the ability to make independent settlement decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- NQF4: Short?Term Insurance (150 credits)
- RE5 – essential
- Class of Business (Personal & Commercial Lines) – advantageous
- FAIS?compliant and able to work unsupervised
- 5+ years’ experience in Personal, Commercial & AGRI claims
- Experience with HCV, Fleet & AGRI claims – advantageous
- TIAL/System A experience – advantageous
- Strong time?management and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities
- Validate and assess claims according to guidelines and SOPs
- Appoint service providers and authorise/settle claims
- Reject claims where applicable
- Process payments within required turnaround times
- Assist clients and brokers via phone and email
- Handle complaints and liaise with service providers, brokers, and clients
