Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must have current or RECENT experience working in Youth Development or Youth Employment/Labour initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management- Postgraduate highly advantageous
At least 7--10 years' experience in education, youth development, community development, or large-scale social impact programmes, Southern African experience is essential. (Namibia, Zim, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Lesotho)
Project Management certification is desirable.
Minimum 5 years' experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and implementing programmes across multiple regions
Experience with performance management, operational planning, and change management.
Duties:
Lead, coach and support Regional Coordinators (6) and Scholar Corps Supervisors/Alumni Mentors (10) to deliver high-quality programme outcomes.
Oversee the day-to-day implementation and operational delivery of programme activities across multiple regions. (Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Lesotho)
Monitor programme performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), service standards and operational targets, implementing corrective action where required.
Coordinate regional work plans, resource allocation and operational priorities to ensure effective programme delivery.
Build and maintain productive relationships with schools, community stakeholders, government departments and partner organisations.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, programme standards and quality assurance requirements across all regions.
Oversee programme reporting, data quality and operational systems to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development of regional team members.
Identify operational risks, resolve escalated programme issues and implement practical solutions to improve programme effectiveness.
Foster collaboration across regional teams by promoting best practices, consistent communication and operational excellence.
