Our client, a well-established provider of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) solutions, is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to drive new business growth and expand their client base across the Western Cape.
This role is ideally suited to a highly motivated hunter salesperson who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening new doors and building long-term client relationships. Applicants with an established business network and a proven track record in B2B sales will be highly advantageous.
Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct client needs analyses and recommend tailored Occupational Health & Safety solutions.
Present products and services professionally to decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to closing the sale.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions and pipeline management using the CRM system.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service and successful project implementation.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity and changes in Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum 5 years' proven B2B sales experience.
Demonstrated success in new business development (hunter sales).
Strong track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Previous experience selling Occupational Health & Safety products or services would be highly advantageous.
Existing client database and established business network preferred.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify business opportunities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
