Job Summary
PURPOSE OF JOB:
- Ensure the company maintains a good stock level.
- Prevention of any stock losses.
- Ensure Store is packed neatly and within Safety Regulations
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
This position will be responsible for the following 4 Key Performance Areas:
- Financial KPA: To manage costs within the set financial budget of the Store and Warehouse
- Customer KPA: To ensure customer service is maintained and achieved on Cash Sales side
- Operational KPA: To ensure all processes are followed and Warehousing service is always upheld
- Learn & Grow KPA: To ensure employees are performing to expectation and are competent and equipped
to perform their duties
Financial Responsibilities:
- Maintain Warehouse Budget
- Control of all consumables issued.
- Maintain a high level of staff productiveness, thereby eliminating unnecessary overtime.
- Do not sign invoice if ‘stock not received’.
Customer Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and despatching
- Immediate action and investigation on queries arising due to incorrect loading and invoicing to customers.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Control and processing of incoming and outgoing of tyres.
- Check daily after COB if tyres were not loaded and report to Admin.
- Ensure short/incorrect loading is actioned immediately.
- Always manage and uphold the despatch SOP.
- Rim Marking (Tags) and Tyre Branding (Brand Register) maintained.
- Exceptions and Escalations
- Ensure rep satisfaction through quality feedback methods i.e., telephone call.
- Ensure feedback given to Top Management once resolved.
- Dispatch
- Ensure the Dispatch team, Rep/Breakdown crew/Mapleton Truck etc. Pick, load & complete all orders as quick as possible to ensure quick vehicle turnaround time.
- Ensure all Dispatch SOP’s are followed, maintained & updated where needed.
- Record all dispatch units in the stock issue register.
- Ensure all units issued – with relevant documentation
- Receiving
- All receiving documentation to be completed & submitted same day of receipt
- All other receiving SOPs are followed.
- Ensure that QTY & Description match PO.
- All other receiving of stock done in time & in full.
- Stock control
- Daily, Weekly stock take checks.
- Monthly stock take (Full)
- Ensure stocktake variances are no more than 10 units surplus/short.
- Stocktake admin queries to be resolved within 5 working days from last stocktake completion.
- All H & S SOP policies are followed.
- Housekeeping
- Ensure inside and outside store areas are clean (tyres and floors) and maintain a high standard of cleanliness as per SOP.
- Ensure all stock is neatly packed and clearly marked accordingly.
- Ensure passenger fitment area is clean before close of day.
- Ensure store is packed as per Safety Regulations.
DECISION MAKING CRITERIA
- Prioritize urgent jobs
- Report all incidences and stock issues to line Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Matric
- Min 5 years Warehousing Managerial experience
- Min 5 years knowledge of the industry
- Experience with IR policies and procedures
