SENIOR FINANCIAL MANAGER: FP&A

The Senior Financial Manager: Forecasting, Planning and Analysis (FP&A), is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis agenda to provide senior stakeholders with current, accurate financial and operational forecasts. The role involves synthesizing and consolidating financial performance, optimizing revenue realization, and ensuring effective cost management and governance. This position will manage a team and develop FP&A processes and tools to drive financial forecasting deliverables.
Job Purpose
To lead The Beverage Company’s FP&A reporting agenda, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial forecasts and performance insights. The role is crucial in supporting strategic decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and managing costs effectively.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Forecasting, Planning and Analysis:
• Lead the synthesis and consolidation of financial plans, including the 3-Year Strategic Plan (PSP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly rolling forecasts, and weekly flash reports.
• Manage FP&A relations and workstreams, serving as the primary point of contact for financial planning and analysis matters.
• Develop and enhance FP&A processes and tools to improve financial forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial forecast deliverables.
• Oversee cost management, governance, and optimization for expenditure.
General Business, Financial and People Management
Actively participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes
Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
Manage cost drivers and take the necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepancies
Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership
Qualifications and Experience
Post Graduate degree in Financial Management or related disciplines (CA(SA) or CIMA preferred).
Over 12 years of financial experience, with more than 5 years in FMCG FP&A.
Extensive knowledge and experience in FMCG process development and execution.
